In the anterior central abdomen there is a loop of bowel with solid content. This was correctly diagnosed as an intussusception. The patient gave a past history of a skin biopsy for malignant melanoma. There were widespread submucosal deposits of melanoma leading to the intussusception and also lymph node metastases.
