There is a massive multi-layered haematoma in the right side of the abdomen with fragmentation of the right kidney, which is displaced anteriorly. Urgent laparotomy was performed. The kidney had torn from the aorta and IVC. The kidney could not be salvaged and was removed with control of haemorrhage. The left kidney was normal.
